live and let live....
I think I have good lips, so love a pout to accentuate them in a photo..
you're always going to have someone who picks faults in your pics, but that says more about them I think

I don't like to smile if it's fake... When I smile at you, you'll know it's genuine as my face will light up.
But nor do I pout, so I guess I keep it fairly neutral in my pics on here, not that I show much of my face! |

It makes me feel old not moving on with the fashion and I hate my thin lips but to display them like a baboons arse just isn't flattering especially when your older and have wrinkles round your lip. I prefer a smile |

Well a very unnatural appearance is still a very unnatural appearance. So if you don't like something then you just don't like it.
There is a woman on this thread who defended the pout issue and if it wasn't for her stating her point and confessing I wouldn't even have noticed she pouted in her pics.

In reality why did the lady who posted this feel she have to defend the pout issue? Also it's doubtful if she is OPs target audience? You can hardly notice her pout and she does have what I presume are naturally nice lips. |

Yeah definitely, nothing puts me off a man more than a filtered little girly picture wearing bunny ears and a cute little button nose! I expect that to entertain children. Wtf is that all about? I could understand gays doing it or young girls who aren't confident in the way they look, which is only going to lead to a big disappointed when the man actually sees your face and it's not as good looking as the filtered version. I'm with you on the eye brows too.
I could see a women from a distance that you know is stunning but she must off been of that day at beauty school an she has penciled or god knows what an I go straight of them(shallow yeah I know) |

Yes, some of them look like they've been sharpie'd on. It takes me all my time not to stare or smirk. First time I saw it my cheeks were sore laughing. That's going back a few years when it was just becoming a thing , I think I was so shocked my eyebrows went as high as hers . Lol |

I find this really sad.
I wish young people knew that being young is beautiful.
When I was in my late teens / 20' s this sort of thing wasn't fashionable or available- but we all still had insecurities.
I always worried about being chubby - I was a size 12 
I'm a size 20 now.
I feel better about myself - or to be honest I care less what the fat haters think lol.

Wow that’s a big generalisation! I love my eyelash extensions and heavy makeup, I don’t do it to please anyone else and doesn’t provide any indication as to the state of my mental health. A more common sign of low self esteem is putting others down as a way of compensating. |

Social media plays a big part in this. I'm glad I was young in the 80's/90's . My girls youngest. 8 year old wears make up and does tic tok. At eight years old I was making dens in playing cowboys and Indians. |

I'm not a fan of the look and no way would I let anything unnatural be pumped into my body.
I think it's a sad state of affairs that women feel they need to look that way because of a celebrity worship culture. Natural all the way, as with boobs for me. |
