It's scary in there!

I'm ignoring most of it, to be honest
The important questions don't seem to be being asked. Mainly, if they're expecting a second, stronger wave of this are we shutting the economy down again? And will the NHS effectively be closed again, too, so that it's only really dealing with Covid19? |

I've not been, its far to seriarse dealing with the bloody situation is bad enough without reading about everyones theory on how it will end on xmas eve 2021  |

I leave it well alone and just look now and again at official updates..the rest is media hype designed to keep people scared..the more scared people are the more they read the hype to keep up. Go by officialdom not speculation and sendationalism. Hope you re all ok.  |

Yeah, we seem to have gone down the American route of keeping the population terrified. Of everything and everyone.

I only looked in there once or twice haven't since. Too many posting absolute rubbish and fighting amd arguing. I deal with enough covid related stuff at work I don't need to come on here and deal with more. So I stay away from it. |

I have to keep a close eye on what's happening globally for my job, I can't really shut myself off from the constant feed of news and information.
I've had enough of it by the time I shut my screen off at night, I certainly don't want it to encroach on my free time too.
I used to browse the threads but don't even bother with that any more. |

In common with all forums and SM in the current climate. Ppl are anxious and arsey and not getting out and looking for praise and acceptance, innit.... ....and yet nobody knows a great deal, not even the experts.....
....if only ppl were as keen to listen and learn (and give) as they were to talk and teach (and take)....

There is no human right more important than the right simply to exist. Any measures taken are just to preserve this for as many as possible.
Personally I'm scared shitless. I honestly don't think we've seen the worst of this yet. But I hope I'm wrong. |

Agreed.
One can be concerned for civil liberties without diving off the deep end. I think these fringe groups distract and detract from the work needed to be done to protect our liberties. |

Tbh I read up a lot on the virus but not in the virus forum. It’d be about as useful as getting information from Donald Trump I imagine.
Essentially - deaths and infection rates are going down. Perhaps not as fast as they should - but they’re going down!
I - and probably just about everyone out there - will be looking closely to see what happens as lockdown eases.
I’m not scared though - just getting on with life - but with caution! |
