If someone talks to me, I’ll talk to them. The supermarket has become the place of random conversations, especially with the older generation.... from a quick hi to a chat around the aisles on varying topics |

Chatty Cathy. I was sitting on a bench getting some air last night when a bloke in the house across the street from the bench opened his loft window and fired a water pistol at some seagulls dancing on his roof.
I started laughing, and he heard. Before I knew it we were swapping life stories. I know all about his kids and grandkids and how much he just wants to meet his newest grandson but can't yet and the stress is making him grumpy so his wife sent him to shoot at the birds to release some frustration (she was downstairs watching... actually can't remember, though he did tell me).
I love it, and I'm lucky that this is a very chatty area so it's not seen as a bizarre thing!
I value it now even more than usual, because I'm living alone and I'm missing company. |

Usually I'm known for having silly encounters out and about. Chatting up random people, making jokes. However, when I have lots going on in my head, I just pop music in my ears, avoid eye contact and switch off. A bit of both then ! |

As long as chatters mind other people around them and not blocking ailes with their chats, middle of entrances, exists, people who need to pass and pick up their stuff, pay and go. I’m really happy to live my life as silent sue. |
