"Obviously it’s going to be very hot but they think the craft will survive
But for extra precaution they will land it at night when it’s cooler "
Land at night? The sun is a star and it permanently emits light. There is no night time. |

"Nothing will ever be able to land on the sun. There’s no material that would withstand that heat. Something like 15 million degrees "
But if they go at night the temp will drop down considerably. |

Inspired by Donald Trump surely... If they land at the south pole, in winter it will be even cooler again.... I predict great success for this NASA mission |

Despite the fact it's a vast gaseous fusion reactor it seems there are high altitude mountain caves that are believed by scientists (took a while to track the right scientists down) to be home to the sun yeti, the font of all wisdom. |

Makes good sense to land it at night as the sun will be dark then.
Similarly I've always wondered why they don't move Christmas to a different month as the shops are always far too busy in December. |

Tanned and ripped I'm told (again by the hard to find scientists) |
