If WWII happened today...
Can I have more clarity on the “Your country needs you” slogan, it’s too ambiguous.
Why aren’t you doing enough to prevent these air raids?
Does the siren apply to everyone?
There are only male and female toilets in the air raid shelter and I don’t identify as either.
This respirator haversack has a leather strap and I’m a vegan.
Why can't I have almond milk on my ration card?
I find the term “black out” offensive.
I find the lack of colour options within military uniforms oppressive.
Why didn’t we have stock piles of spitfires at the start of this conflict? |

The real irony is that for the past two decades the biggest conflict since WW2 has been raging in the middle east and hardly anyone seems to have noticed. Out of sight out of mind and all that... |

You joke but people like that existed back then too. Many people ignored advice or complained about seemingly insignificant things like lack of steel for their corsets or nylon for their stockings. People don't change that much, just the subject matter. |

I was just thinking exactly this. People have been taught a rose-tinted view of history as our politicians and media (same thing) like to paint for us. We've all been fed the same lies, and the same complaints and privileges have always existed.
Only real difference now is social media. |

Did you know that NATO actually stands for Not At This Orifice?
It was set up to safeguard all the cracks the Russians might slip through.

I'm willing to bet when I'm old and people talk about covid 19 it will all be about things like the clap for key workers, captain Tom and people making scrubs from home for the NHS. Then they'll say all the same things about how people aren't as community spirited anymore and I'll roll my eyes in just the same way my nan does when people talk about society during WW2 . |
