Far too big, can’t remember why most they are there a mix of vile abusive people, people who we / they said no or just thought no and didn’t want to message them by accident. Could do with a not compatible feature instead. |

No one needs to defend the length of their block list. Everyone has their reasons, I block people if they are persistent when I say no, or if they send rude/crude messages. I'm not going to justify it, because it is my right |

I don’t think it’s about being rude but more feeling comfortable.
Not everyone wants people they know knowing about their sex life and so block to maintain that privacy.

Or maybe it's their perfectly reasonable way of having looked at yours in return, decided you're not for them, and saved you the trouble of messaging them |

This has turned into blocking rights haha just like the old days
My thoughts:
Good or bad, nobody needs to explain or justify reasons. Block option is there for a reason. If you happen to be the person blocked don't dwell on it because you're only wasting your own time. People try to get around blocks by creating multiple profiles or have them... use forums to communicate... I don't get that, just move on. |

How do you deal with someone you have blocked and they follow you around the forums? |

Good question. I am sure a few forum users at some point have had to deal with this and I know some that have really struggled. So I will share what I would do if it happens to me:
First thing is to report to admin and/or directly quote them saying you're blocked and you know, but still following me around. That would usually deal with the basic ones, but for the extreme persistent ones things are not that simple because they don't care how many times you report they know loopholes, ways around to keep getting to you... having digs... always in 'your face' so to speak...
Here is how I would deal with that:
My general rule is I don't focus on the things I can't control because that is a waste of my time and would be a distraction. For whatever reason those unwanted followers have made it their mission to try and derail/ruin your time... if they have multiple profiles or 'mates' keeping an eye on you... they will know when your logged in... so at times you will feel like it's a constant battle... can't get away from it...
My mindset to deal with that would be not to react/bite. I would carry on regardless. Remember the reasons why I joined and ignore any unwanted attention/drama. By sticking to your path you will gain control back of your time on here and eventually the persistent ones will either move on or you allow them to remain in the background. They need you to react so they can see they are getting under your skin... they will not stop if you continue to give them the satisfaction of knowing you're getting bothered by their actions... unfortunately there is no time frame when those blocked Fabbers finally leave you alone, but to overcome that is in your hands.
As I said I have not been through it myself so can't pinpoint exact solutions from my experience like I do with other topics, but hopefully this helps anyone going through a difficult time. |

I met a guy for a social a few years ago, it was awful and i was frightened, i blocked him after he had messaged me asking for a veri, i also reported him to Fab and detailed what had happened, they did nothing. He started following me around the forums, having a go at me, i reported him again but nothing was done. I deleted that profile and started again.
I now block people straight away if i get abuse or hassle, i ignore them on the forums. |
