You have 17 points to allocate between all categories
Camera
Display
Hardware
Software
Battery
Design
You can give between 1-5 points in each category but must total to no more than 17. Also cannot give a 0 to any category

17 points is hard as base it on everything design and hardware is first, followed by the rest, spending weeks and months checking what Chinese android phones are out and what is coming out soon. |

I hope with 3 points in hardware and software your phone comes with a calculator |

Honestly I own the third iteration and I am so glad about it,. Except the battery but all those Google apps and perks are fucking amazing.... Like copying text from a picture... Getting a transcript from a recording
... and the camera please !!!
I won't get another phone except a pixel.

Well thing is I won't compromise when the phone costs £600.
They have bad batteries which is a deal breaker for me.
They have outdated design with huge bezels or giant notches.
They introduced a second camera and instead of going with wide angle they put telephoto which no one really uses.
They also put too little RAM in their phones, and record shooty videos.
I get that the camera is outstanding but when a phone costs £600-£800 it better be more than just a camera. |

Buy the third one then and honestly all your complain about the phone (except the battery) I am pretty sure that you wouldn't even notice it in your everyday use.

Well no because shit battery, giant bezels, poor video recording, not enough ram. And yes I would notice all that because I am a performance whore!

"Every year I'm eager to see what Google's new phone is like but there's always something putting me off it. Keen to see what the 4a offers, I just want that camera and stock android dammit!"
So am I! But even they know their phones aren't worth the price. That's why every pixel is discounted 3 months after release.
I would personally want
Camera 5
Display 4
Battery 4
Design 1
Software 1
Hardware 2 |

Performance on paper yes but if you don't hold an iPhone next to you phone when opening 100 apps one after another ...(which is what everyone does when using their phone obviously )
You absolutely can't see the difference at all.
Poor video recording ? Honestly the quality is outstanding.
Performance on paper may be not what you want for an high-end phone but on your everyday use..m you won't even notice the difference. And the Google experience is by far the best I have ever used.
The Google lens is a God given ! I can copy entire text book from the camera !
I can directly translate a text in French by putting my camera over it. |

Google / Android / Open source is for kids without funds for a proper phone, for solid performance, support and business use there’s no option but Apple |

You absloutely do notice the difference in performance in every day use.
Going from a Samsung to Oneplus was like night and day. Samsung has been extremely slugish compared to other android phones until their new UI.
What's more embarrassing is that stock android pixels still perform worse than some other andrioids.
You would think since it's their OS they would know how to optimize it.
And the video is trash, don't lie. I've seen the comparison between an Apple video recording and Pixel. Pixel is years behind |

Not quite, all phones pretty much use the same display panels but calibrate them differently so you have different results.
Same goes for lenses and batteries.
Optimisation and processing affects their performance. |

But the Camera, Display, Battery and Design are all parts of the hardware aren't they? So under your "Hardware" category I presume I'm not including them when I'm allocating points as they have their own categories? What other components under the hardware category should I be considering when I'm allocating points?
I'm great at parties btw |

Haha yes it's kind of 50/50
Let's say hardware is RAM, Storage and CPU |
