Who has heard of Mycoplasma genitallium?

Apparently it's a "new" infection on the rise for most people who have sex, and it's not on the regular testing rounds by the NHS, but you can ask for it if you know about it. Symptoms are similar to a UTI and it's a bit worse for women than men. Curable with antibiotics.

There's not a lot of postings or a section on STI's on fab (unless I'm looking in the wrong places!).

Just thought it might be helpful to raise awareness is all. Because while we are all washing our hands and keeping socially distanced...at some point normal fab service may resume.

Play safe people, protect your bits xx

Please tell me that you're not suggesting that most people who have sex will get this because I don't think that's quite true

Not at all, I was simply raising awareness of an STI that is out there that you may not have heard of, is all.

It might have been clearer if you hadn't said it was on the rise for most people who have sex

Preston

Thanks for the info.

I'm guessing it's not on the rise for those who've never had sex.

I wasn't confused by it.
