Ladies that shave their legs, do you just do to the knee or the whole leg?

Do you worry if you've missed a bit? (pre lockdown when we could meet) I get very paranoid if I discover I've missed a bit.

Guys, do you actually care?

I do the whole leg but I'm not that bothered if I miss a bit. I'll get it next time.

Just above the knee when I'm wearing something that will show off my calves. All the way up if I'm anticipating lingerie or naked time.

Utterly, utterly paranoid, and I beat myself up when I find any missed spots.

I do up to and including the knee, my thighs aren't hairy.

I try not to miss a spot, but if I do it's not the end of the world

My body hair is very dark too and I'm very pale. It used to bother me more when I was younger. I had an ex when I was about 21 who would point it out. I'm not sure why but I've stopped caring about it and I'd tell him where to go if it was now. I shave because I like the feeling. Other people aren't entitled to my body being how they want. It they don't like it then that's fine, doesn't mean I have to change to suit them.

I go from my toes to just over my knees, but don’t have to shave often as I’m not that hairy ( I think due to years of waxing)

I honestly don’t think my hubby is that bothered, Maybe women are more critical than the men!?

It bothers me a little when I miss a bit, but soon get over it!

Yeah, I shave everywhere. Even places you didn't know could spout hair, do. I have pcos so I get really thick, dark wiry hair if I don't. I think it's more habit now. I also don't want to have more body hair than my partner (internalised societal ideas of femininity).

Just do it . I go to work with stubly armpits sometimes. It's never been mentioned. My colleagues still love me . Maybe it's like aversion therapy? Once you've done it a few times you realise most people really aren't that bothered. With leg hair especially you mostly don't notice unless you look closely. I did a whole day of modelling and various outfit changes with another woman and only noticed she had hairy legs when she pointed it out to me.

Nah I think most women just don't talk about it. Me and my friends are pretty open and honestly nearly all of them do some form of upper lip bleaching/waxing/plucking. Age can be a factor in it getting worse dye to hormones but it's a lot more common than we think I reckon.

Not blonde, but my hair goes really light in the sun. I’ve never dyed my hair because, although I have a lot of it, the strands are pretty fine and I’m conscious about damaging it. My body hair is really fine too. Except for one thick black hair that grows out of my neck every month!

Ladies, I'm a skin specialist. If you pluck, wax the hair you ar changing it from being a vellous hair to a terminal growing hair as you are altering the structure of the root. Not possible atm but look into dermaplaning as this will remove the hair without causing it to grow more vigorously. I'm a hairy lady thanks to an italian dad so I feel your pain x

"Also. Fucking facial hair.

I wax, and tweeze, and then when my skin starts to protest at all of that shit, then I shave the remnants off.

My facial hair is not a moral failing but oh god I hate it so and it makes me feel terrible about myself.

I also have this problem trying to work out of it's an age thing or my body just hates me

Nah I think most women just don't talk about it. Me and my friends are pretty open and honestly nearly all of them do some form of upper lip bleaching/waxing/plucking. Age can be a factor in it getting worse dye to hormones but it's a lot more common than we think I reckon.

Talking about it helps. I feel like less of a freak of nature."

I'm glad as you're not

Thanks. I was talking to someone about this the other day and they suggested growing it out and decorating it. I spat my drink laughing then cringed so hard at the idea.

The suggestion was braids. Pink braids?"

Yes! With beads in the braids!

I have a random long one that grows out my forehead and another from my arm. I also get random extra curly hairs on my head like afro hair. Follicles are weird!

I love how some women talk about getting rid of peach fuzz on their faces. I'm super unbothered by that. It's the black and/ or wiry hair that bothers me. Upper lip, chin, sideburns. Ugh!

I shave to the knee, and I hate it when I notice a bit that I've missed. I feel that it's very off putting, even though it's never been mentioned to me by a meet.

I think it goes back to teenage years when the bitchy girls were overly critical of girls who hadn't started shaving their legs so I'm really conscious of it now.

Yes, I think teenagers haunt a lot of us. I wasn't allowed to start shaving until a couple of years after my leg hair went from peach fuzz to dark and... kids are fucking horrible.

I've never done above my knees and the hair there is barely noticable.

Below is an entirely different ball game! I get less hair now that I've been epilating for years but what does come through is dark and spiky.

Oh mostly, IDGAF.

"I do the whole leg but I'm not that bothered if I miss a bit. I'll get it next time.

Wish I could be not bothered, it really stresses me out

Why?

I don't actually know I'm naturally quite hairy and it's dark, I suppose I just feel really self conscious about it

It they don't like it then that's fine, doesn't mean I have to change to suit them."

Good for you If they don’t like it, it’s their problem and you shouldn’t change cos of them.

I love the feel of a woman shaved/waxed in any part of her body, not sure I like the look of a pussy shaved so much over say a design like a landing strip etc. Shaved pussy has a pre111pubescent look to me I'm not so keen on, ha, who knew

I get a little moustache and hairs grow from the mole under my chin but this is pretty common with most women I know. I just leave it alone mostly as my face is sensitive and waxing and plucking irritates it too much. I also get stray nipple hairs too that need plucking once a month.

It's shite that we feel ashamed of these things, but honestly, I bet nobody even notices it as much as we do. I rem_mber my partner going crazy at me when I started waxing my little moustache and he was adamant that there was nothing there!

I'm really interested in trying dermaplaning.

I used get everything waxed from the waist down apart from a bit. Plus my arms and underarms.

I've now lasered it and it feels so much better. I could get away with not shaving at all but I do every now couple of weeks because I like it to be perfect.

I cannot put words how much i hated it.

Shave then use Phillips IPL. Stays smooth for initially a couple of weeks and now, having used it for about a year just need a top up every 4 weeks or so. No stubble at all
