Seeing as though we are on guitars, what are we playing?
I've got a highway one made in America Stratocaster in honey and a made in America, American Standard Fender Precision bass. I want a Jaguar or a Mustang next (I have small hands so it might help me). I like Gibson SGs and my mate has a couple but I can't get over the neck issue. It's a lot of money for a potential ornament. |

It's a good looking ornament though! Sounds like you have a nice collection going.
I've got an epi Les Paul, thought it was a good choice to learn on. |

They're cracking guitars, don't get me wrong. You've got to love a Les Paul, especially a gold top. It's whatever feels good to play. I like my Strat but it's heavy. I can't get on with a Les Paul not having a cut away. The beauty of guitars is that they hold their price so you can always swap them. I've yet to find my grail guitar. |

Got a Mexican Tele that's falling to bits. Need a new one when the guitar shops reopen.
I have a fender Mustang modelling amp which is pretty decent and I also enjoy using tone designer on Rocksmith. |

"I want a flying V. Supposed to be hard to play.
It’s just a balance thing much like an explorer"
V’s are dead easy - just stick the V round your thigh and explorers rest on the thigh really comfortably |

Great reading about people's gear, so many different styles. It's like people's tastes in the opposite sex, so different for everyone.
Loved guitar shops since I was a kid but only recently started to learn again after learning a few open chords as a teen. |

"Oh nice a guitar thread. I have a strat with the Antigua finish, certainly divides opinion but I love it
Just googled that finish...I like it! Looks almost ghostly. "
Yeah I loved it at first site, we’re in a minority though (not that I’m bothered)
Most folk compare it to snot |

I use the yamaha nylon electro acoustic. Got big fingers so do finger picking jazz styles.

"Dunno I use yousician
Any good? I've seen the adverts. "
It was better b4 they got hit with the copyright issues. I haven't past free usage (1/2hr per day) since.
Personally I really struggle with chords and strumming so I finger pick & play largely classical, for this it is very good.
Plays a bit like guitar hero with the follow the dot. |
