How would humanity and the world change if for some reason, our biological clock was extended and we were able to live to 500 years old?

Manchester (she/her)

I think most people would get bored after 200 years.

Would the aging process slow?

Are we going to be younger for longer or age normally and just spend 400 years in a care home?

Fab would have to change it age range from 18-99 year old to 18-500 year olds and 99yr old world be considered middle age.

This is what the transhumanist movement strives for. Immortality or greatly expanded lifespan through the merging of man and machine.

Yep. I reckon we'd take more care of our planet for a start. Plus we'd be able to explore space, our extended lifespan allowing us to traverse the vast distances to our nearest interstellar nieghbours...

Theoretically no children for 150 plus years and their child hood would last about 120

Thus you would have to endure your children at home for 120 to 250 years
