Oooo....now here's a debate! As a confessed bacon lover not sure I agree. I'll get back to you on that one!

I think bacon smells better than it tastes. I’m not really a fan of bacon I broke my dads heart when I finally came out and told him

You want it crispy needs to be grilled or in the oven, I don't have a working grill right now so fried is ok, always prefer smoked and rind on

Great question but I have to disagree and say fried tastes better although grilled is nice. If I'm pushed for time I do it in the microwave....scandalous! You dont get the same waft through the house.

Has to be fried; only in its own fat or a little spray of oil if needed. Done on a hot plate and pressed often the rind gets crispy.

My mum used to cut the rind off and give it to me raw to chew when I was little, different era, loved it though, same as dripping on bread, loved that as well

Thin strips of smoky, streaked bacon. Fried to a nice crunchy crip and a bit of the leftover fat in the bun for some moistness.

Coronary st#angler? Perhaps, but oh so divine....

Who wants a bacon butty? I'm making some now!

King's Crustacean

Grilling removes moisture thereby intensifying flavours.

Frying does lead to a better textured bacon.

Im speaking from past experience.

Not had bacon in years.

"Why does grilled bacon taste so much better than fried? "

It doesn’t

I fry mine low and slow so all the fat renders down, great for popping a slice of fried bread in

I actually microwave bacon - thick cut, 2 mins, then into a toasted bagel with a bit of brown sauce

Heaven

I have recently been buying my unsmoked bacon from local butcher, thicker and much tastier also always fry it and it gets lovely and crispy.
