In my van I could pass for a delivery driver, plumber, builder, painter, electrician or whatever else you can think of for an excuse for the neighbours.

" Yes my local Hermes courier, she is stunning, she always finds the time for a chat, which makes an old man like me very happy "
This is first time I've ever heard anything complimentary about Hermes!

My ex asked me to do this scenario. Have to wear thigh high boots, a thong and a long coat and deliver something to his house! Sounds quite fun actually. |

"Why do some have to take a picture of the delivery and some not?
I said to one guy recently "Do you need to take a picture if it?" and he looked at me like I was a lunatic!"
Its because we aint signing for them so just take a pic as proof that it was delivered x |

""Why do some have to take a picture of the delivery and some not?
"
Because some customers have a history of claiming parcels aren't delivered.
And some drivers steal parcels."
They would be very silly to be stealing as they would have to pay for the loss |

I work for a delivery company.
Some consignments are specified to be left at the front door/behind wheelie bin etc. often because the recipient is out. This is done at the sender's risk, so photos are taken as proof where it's been left.
Due to the Corona virus, drivers have been instructed not to ask for a signature, but to leave the parcel at the front door, knock or ring the bell to get the recipient's attention, then step away. If the recipient opens the door, the driver asks for their name and records that as proof of delivery. Photos are taken of the front door as secondary proof of delivery. |
