It's Friday and it's bank holiday! The sun is shining, my bad mood appears to have fucked off and I shaved my legs

You make me smile every day But apart from you, so far my wife, my son, and the sun, my books and the prospect of continuing my work, my old wild friends with their mad irreverent humour, and a couple of amazing newish friends I know from here... there is lots to smile about today. I hope everyone has something to smile about too |

Happy friday sparkles and everyone else on fab bit over cast here this morning and I'm out working but I'm hone this afternoon going to have a garden party with my children got the flags and bunting up ready and last night I made a Victoria sandwich and scones so that will be fun |

I'm safe, well, comfortable. Reflective as I usually am on days like these, thinking of sacrifice, duty, what it means to be a society. "Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country". I suppose that's more bittersweet gratitude and resolve. |

I had a delivery of something very important and exciting for me and a dear friend so I'm very very happy about that and grinning like a loon.
I'm actually wearing my hair in it's natural state and day 4 of doing so and it's looking lovely (I just need to find products to weigh it down a bit).
I've started writing again this morning and it's like muscle memory, I forgot how pleasurable it could be seeing words flow and form something beautiful.
It's also beautiful here; sunny and not too warm so that's making me smile a lot.
I hope everyone finds reasons however big or small to smile this weekend.
