"I don't think it's bad English more the current vernacular.
I'm not keen on a lot of it but that's because it's not the language of my generation. My parents thought I spoke had English . "
Your parents thought what now? |

The one that really winds us up, is when people use
"of" not "have" (ie. I would of gone)
- as though they are interchangeable!
Certain others - we're were, where, weir etc. - Can be forgiven, (especially with autocarrot) but not OF in place of HAVE. Why do people do it? |

Unfortunately we are getting old! It seems to be because of mobile phones in most cases?
The only time younger people write is during text chat and it's understandable there, but it's now spilt into everything. Do they teach grammar, spelling etc in school nowadays? |

My pet hate is when somebody says obviously when it isn't obvious. Also don't like being called Fella or when a waiter or Barista says, "no problem" when you have ordered something.....as if I, the customer, was doing them a favour.... grrrrr |

English is second language for me. But even for me, it is frustrating when people wrongly use "your" instead of "you're" and vice-versa.
And don't even get me started on the text speak terms which make me rush to the urban dictionary website frequently. |
