There was discussion on a thread about smelly vaginas. I was curious as to how aware men are with the taste of their own cum.
If your diet is poor does it affect how your semen tastes and how aware are you of it?
Do you check and adjust diet accordingly so that you taste good.

I’ve heard pineapple and not eating junk food makes it taste nicer. I’ve tried it out of curiosity and I doubt it would help much with the saltiness though.
Also yeah hygiene and cleaning under the foreskin is a must. I don’t get guys who can’t do that. Not hard unless it’s tight but then circumcision is needed to fix it |

Yes. It does tend to alter the taste in an unpleasant way, as does whisky, honey, garlic and spicy food.
I'm not too fussed about the taste not being great (I've never had any real nightmares), but poor hygiene and knob-cheese is a definite no-no, that just makes me heave. |

No I meant to see if there is much of a change. Girls with regular partners might notice a change but guessing most have a varied diet so maybe changes would go noticed, think if you mean all one type of food then might change significantly. Maybe types of food also change Sperm amounts or recovery of producing it again |

I can't say as I regularly do a taste test on my own cum, but on the few occasions I've tasted it it just tasted salty, which seems to be pretty normal. That said, I don't really have a yardstick to measure with, not being in the habit of tasting other men's cum. I eat reasonably healthily, or maybe saying I don't eat unhealthily would be more accurate, and no one has ever specifically said it tastes particularly good or bad, so I take that to mean it tastes "normal". I've had women swallow, I've had women spit it out, again from what I see and read, that's pretty normal too, some women like to swallow, others don't.
As for the more obvious signs of poor hygiene, I struggle to see how some people can be so self-unaware that they don't wash properly, especially before meets. |

Pineapple is recommended to feed to dogs who eat their own poo, as it makes it taste unpalatable...

Yep I used to check it on a daily basis. It is incredible how it changes on a daily basis depending on diet. I haven’t been wanking since before lockdown so not sure. The other fascinating difference is in the taste of pre-cum as that seems even more susceptible to changes in diet. However assuming I haven’t eaten anything too salty or spicy or d*unk too much coffee, mine has a slightly sweet taste quite often due to eating a lot of soft fruit and pineapple, but other food can override that.
I’ve never tasted my spunk and thought it tasted ‘funky’. I have to be careful as it can irritate my throat if I have too much due to it being alkaline. It is my preferred method of clean up whether that’s on me or a partner, unless they want to share it with me or are greedy |

I am fully aware of how my cum tastes and to be honest it tastes the same no matter what my diet is.
It does taste slightly different depending on how long it has been since I've cum.
As for cleanliness, always keep the little fella spotless as much as is possible.

Always been told my cum is sweet. I have tasted it. I have never worked on changing my diet and keeping notes on how it tastes though. As for cleanliness well that is simply the basics. If someone can’t be clean fresh and smelling decent then something is wrong! |

One of by biggest turn off is body odour in men or women. I am very conscious of how I smell and present myself to the outside world. In regards of how my semen smell or taste, I have no clue.
