Brut Aquatonic as a teenager, and some of that Lynx Africa aftershave that came in the gift sets at Christmas
Then I started hosing myself down with Joop when I was around 18, was my signature smell for a few years. Bought some recently just for nostalgia sake, it's stronger than I remember |

I think my first ever aftershave was a Lynx one in a box set I got for Christmas one year. Back in the days of real Lynx, when there were like a dozen different scents to choose from, not just Lynx Africa. Can't remember which one I had for the life of me, but I think the squiggle on the bottle was purple.
My first PROPER one was P by Paco Rabanne, I think my mom bought it for me to give her a break from the overwhelming stench of Lynx...
As a sidenote, re. the OP: I wear Aramis when I shave. It's a gorgeous smell, a proper classic scent, and it reminds me of my Grandad. |

Poison, I was 16, and my aunty got it for me, as she wore it and I loved the smell. Also loved the fact it was purple, as it’s my favourite colour x

I've been shaving for well over 40 years but never used aftershave, just a splash of cold water to rinse off and then towel dry, but I do remember the first time perfume for men was rebranded and advertised for straight guys on TV.....stuff like Old Spice and Brut. They smelt disgusting but obviously the industry has come a long way since then, a perceived need worth millions. |

My first decent one was cool water followed by Fahrenheit which I’ve just recently purchased again as a change and it’s funny how many people comment on the Fahrenheit by saying it takes them back to the 90s |
