Ok guys how many have bit the bullet and cut their own hair during lockdown.

Getting to the point where I'm seriously considering it.

How did it go? Shocking or not too badly? And any tips? Did you watch videos or just get the electric razor and go for the 1 all over?

Used beard trimmers and went 6mm all over my head, and grew a beard. Got ridiculed at work but made it clear that by the time barbers are open again mine will of grown back ready for styling, and they will all of got a skinhead and have to wait weeks. My colleagues now have their heads shaved too.

Thanks to the replies so far.

Yeh would be beard razor I would use but it does have longer guards you could use for hair.

My concern is it all ends up uneven haha.

Took me about 40 mins to do it 100% well, couldn't get clippers on next day so went with a 20 quid pair of beard trimmers, did the job well to be honest but not as quick as normal clippers. Go for it

Wimborne

Been doing mine, grade 5 for about 20+ years. It's so convenient, Sunday morning, about every three weeks, takes about half an hour.

Only thing I found it to be thorough and keep going over it and then spice just checks back and does a neck trim.

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

I've been doing my own with clippers about every 3 weeks or so for around 25 years. I don't bother with a guard. I've got it down to a fine art now and can be done in 10 mins or so.
