It's a little tit related thing

But in a stressful week with limited exercise, some joy was experienced today when I noted that the Blue Tits who seemed to have disappeared are in fact well and continuing to use the bird box I built and put up in the garden.

Appreciate there is more going on at the moment but it put a smile on my face so wanted to share. I'm a big softy at heart

Apologies to anyone who looked at this post expecting mention of a different type of tit, am sure there will be another thread soon for those

That's lovely, they are great to watch aren't they.

I filled up the bird feeders in my garden today, cheeky buggers are used to me know and will watch from the telephone wire

And know that chicks have just hatched in the nest in the hedge because I can hear the chirrping.

Aye. Have you noticed less house martins this year though?

It's a great thing. I can sit in the garden and happily listen to the chirping coming from the box.

Haven't seen many other types, apart from blackbirds and the odd magpie or pigeon. Will keep looking though

Ramsey

Every year what I assume are the same pair of chaffinches appear back on next doors roof & build a nest under the edge tiles behind the guttering. Lots of beaks full of fluffy stuff currently being taken in & stashed away. What i assume is the male is a noisy little sod, sits on the edge of the gutter chirping away at me down below. They've raised young up there for years. Sometimes the fledglings end up hopping about in my garden for a few days until they can fly & sadly sometimes they don't survive the drop out of the nest, which is nature of course but never a nice thing to find or see. The parents are like little annual friends it's great to see back again each spring.

Birds of Prey are my favourite, I was meant to be going to Scotland tomorrow to see Golden eagles and Sea fish eagles. Absolutely stunning x

I know those who've been out or have better outside views than me are noticing more birds about.
