Who’s a winker?

So often I tend to wink at a guy who I fancy and then nothing! If I’m lucky a wink back. Does anyone else use a wink as I way of communicating your interests? |

If someone winks at us, we might wink back if they're of interest and they'll message. Lately we've had so many messages, they're like buses, so we have been less inclined to encourage any more via the 'wink system'. |

If I view a new profile I'll usually wink anyway even if I don't message, just really as a way of saying thanks for letting me have a look and a read about you 
(I'm usually on stealth and it feels a bit sneaky looking at someone new without them knowing)  |

If i'm interested I message. Men sending winks to women is useless. The other way around perhaps a bit more successful.
I don't respond to random winks anymore. I figure if the person is genuinely interested they should put some effort into messaging as I do. |

Not unless it’s a winking thread or someone has winked me. If someone has winked me and I am curious as to what they’ll do next I wink back. I’ve never had a response from the wink back so I conclude they aren’t interested. I’ve sent a couple of messages on the back of a wink too and never got a reply back.
I now assume that winks are just mistakes or a nervous twitch. |

Just a statement of fact. Women receive dozens of winks and potentially hundreds of messages a day. Time and patience is limited to be checking them. So as a man, I find the feature useless.
With regards to receiving them, while flattering, a message is far preferable to a wink. |

They can be but not everyone takes notice of them I have messaged a few people in rely to a wink too only if they take my interest though |

There are people with winking disability- it's a muscle twitch. They cant help it. It might have transpired into fab.
That's my excuse. 
I am a winker and I cant help it.

I often wink, but rarely does it develop into anything.
I do check each and every wink I receive, and usually say hello.

I quite like a wink as shows that someone has noticed you, I don’t reply to all and totally agree a Good message is worth more than a wink. But I’m shy (sometimes) so will send a cheeky wink. |

I use winks as a way of testing the water, I have spent hours on here sending messages for them to get deleted straight away with out even a courtesy message back. I read people's profiles first and if they state they don't like winks then I will message on that occasion if they have really taken my fancy x |

I have done, but I'll be honest I get confused by them!
I was winked by two profiles on my hot list, replied then nothing(fair enough in normal circumstances but they showed interest).

I wink at profiles who have no pics as a first step - my view is why should I send pics if they can’t be arsed putting them up themselves- I love to get winks and I always send a thank you message to anyone who winks me - it’s just common courtesy |

We primarily use winks as 1st contact, if we wink we are interested, if you wink back we will send an opening message with face pics.
Peoples inboxes get overloaded, not using the wink system is in our opinion a big miss, yea ok some of you just delete them and so 1st contact may never be made, but we are winkers for sure. |
