"I remember my first Walkman then CD player.. who knew then you will have wireless headphones and music streaming from internet.. Anything you want. Anytime. " you had to carry the Walkman carefully so it didn't jump songs.

For me the biggest change in everyday life was at work.... left my desk in a Friday typewriter in situ, returned Monday tw gone and a computer on its place and a manual, lost so much bloody work |

"Having to use a slide rule in ma maths exam I could never figure them out, guess that's why I failed first time. "
How about the old trigonometry set that contained a pencil, a compass and some funny shaped pieces of plastic |

Really confession time now. I'm that old I remember all of the above as well as decimalisation and when a pound bought you quite a lot.
Oh, and of course when everything didn't come with a 'chip' and you could actually repair something yourself instead of having to get someone in?
Good luck millennials??!! |

I actually don’t remember photocopiers arriving.... typing was always four sheets of different coloured paper with a sheet of carbon in between each, that was my copying |

Remember buying the kids their first computer game box.
The one where you could play 'tennis' in black and white and you could change the speed of the ball and the size of the racket.
If you were on your own, you could switch it to a squash game.
Played it for bloody hours...!
Happy days... |

When a public telephone had an A button and a B button. When I could fix my own car. Post office workers riding around on
BSA bantoms and coppers riding lambrettas. Flares, Oxford bags, stack heels and a ten bob note... just for starters. |

My sister still has our Binatone console. I found a connector to plug it into a new flat screen tv. |

Oh God yeah, my mum was a smoker so was ways the top deck for us. Urgh.
In wet weather condensation used to form on the ceiling of the bus and the nicotine used to drip down the walls.
Lovely |

In fact, I could also include fax machines here, and shell suits, and I remember one year every male in my family from my dad through to my uncles, all had perms done! There were a lot of people walking around with dodgy hair. A little later Bros arrived and kids wanted spikey hair.. haha |

"ZX Spectrum - rubber keys "
I bought one recently , complete with the box, charger, original polystyrene, Basic programming manual and even a printer. 40 years that manual probably taught me more about problem solving than any degree or course has since |

Music was on tapes when I was young. Remember when cd's came out and then when everyone was risking a computer ending virus to download via limewire haha.
Msn messenger and then BBM and qwerty keyboard on a phone being revolutionary and so fast to type rather than hitting numbers 2 or 3 times for letters.
When the internet came out and was dial up and if the phone went that was you off haha. |

Black and white TV, coal-fired central heating, a grammarphone and wireless. No telephone at home, outside toilets, using a mangle to wring out clothes, no freezers, just small fridges, no showers just a bath, being bathed in a sink. Using an upside down coffee table as a toy boat. Crimplene shorts in winter. |

Having no debts.
Once your in control you can quit your horrible job, tell people what you really think of them and not have sleepless nights worrying about bills. |

Going off with your mates to build a den in the woods and spending days hanging around in there during the school holidays, or building rope swings over a nearby river etc, it was our escape from adults and chores. Kids these days have a meltdown if they have to go outside of a WiFi signal |

Going to the wee shop and getting a qtr of rhubarb and custard sweets.
Going all the way to your mates and chapping on their door to see if they are coming out. Sometimes they wouldn't be in. Sometimes they would be at their dinner haha. Kids these days will never know. |
