A school of clownfish is always built into a hierarchy with a female fish at the top. When she dies, the most dominant male changes sex and takes her place.
There are lots of species of marine life that have this ability to change gender |

Two "Zulu" related ones for you...
Firstly despite the film suggesting the brave men were all Welsh the reality is most of the actual men were Midlanders - Henry Hook the d*unk villain amongst them was actually a sober and very proper man and the two officers (played by Michael Caine and Stanley Baker) were clueless when it came to battles - the real brains behind it all was the commissary who had a minor role in the film.
There's a link between Zulu and Gladiator too - the latter sampled the Zulu chants for the chants of the Hun hoards at the start of the film |

A lot of Steve Wright's factoids seem to be in The Metro Newspaper.
--------------------------------------------
A male ballet dancer is called a ballerino.
--------------------------------------------
In 1993 Peter Gabriel fans sang Happy birthday to him on the 13 May, just as he came on stage.
A bit of paper was thrown from fan to fan, stating that this was going to happen...in French.
Nothing unusual about that, except his birth month is February.
What's two months between the Godfather of Prog and a bullring full of fans.
How do I know this? I was there, near the middle of the arena. Great night.
He took it in his stride, what a guy.
Walking off afterwards listening to Games without Frontiers being whistled down the streets...aah, them were, the days |

It was mate, it was. Seeing Levon Minassian, on stage armed with his Armenian duduk (a member of the flute family) hairs-on-necks-were-standing-to-attention. He played The Feeling Begins (From the Last Temptation of Christ/Passion OST). What a sound. That drone made the air go electric.
I'd seen him for the first time at Bath in 1992 at his WOMAD festival, where he was the just the host, prior to releasing the US album.
World Of Arts Music And Dance: because too much music industry focus is on the UK/Ireland and US. The rest of the world needs exploring. Foreign holidays, food, cars and sometimes film: so why not music?

I´m pretty sure the first heart transplant was in South Africa. It was definitely Dr Christian Barnaard who performed it. |

Software pirating of their software was the making of Microsoft. People copied and distributed their first computer language...Basic for microcomputers and it spread far and wide. It could (and nearly did) break Gates/Allens business but it became the industry standard and the rest is history.

The makers of Game Dev Tycoon deliberately released a cracked version of their game that would cause you to haemorrhage cash through pirating. |
