I, personally, am not a fan of camera filters, you don't tend to see the real person and this can lead to a disappointing meet...

I use my iPhone 6, the timer function and then crop and maybe turn the pic b&w. That’s as far as my artistic abilities go I’m afraid.

I quite often have to use a filter to lighten my pics up as where I take them can be quite dark, and I very occasionally put a cool filter on for fun.

I crop stuff out of the edges

That's as far as I go though. My pics are unedited other than that

I have the odd pic in black and white I don't like skin complexion in some. But mostly only a bit of cropping in my pics of me are what you'd get.

That’s a very scary setting you took your avatar picture in.

Well done for not using filters though, it really does show the real person!

I use the timer and usually crop as end up with my dog in most pics. Everything else is just me.

I always use lots of filters in my photos, coloured spotlighting and lens flare too. When I go on a meet it means a couple of hours doing makeup and I’ve got to lug the lights to Costa as well, but it’s the only way to be fair

I don't see the harm in playing around with photo's as long as you are not doing so to the extent of being unrecognisable in person.

I have never been told I look worse than my photo's in person, in fact, usually complimented on looking better

I have, however, been to clubs with a pre arranged meet and many people looking nothing like their photo's, this is not on and misleading and things will not progress with me if that happens

The silly filters that change your appearance or give you bunny ears etc, just annoy me... I wouldn't accept a pic of someone in sun glasses or pulling a silly face, as a face picture, so why would that be any different? But if that's what floats your boat... It mostly just filters out who I reply to

I hate them and don’t see the point in them at all. Fair enough if you just crave attention and never intend meeting. It’s so bloody obvious too, especially women’s face pics. Can see it a mile off! Personally I think it’s deceitful, we all know they make you look flawless and younger. I’ve met a woman before who looked nothing like the pics she sent me! I could see the resemblance though. Pisses me right off to be honest.

I use black and white, occasionally colour splash, and sometimes I use the one that darkens the edges of the picture if there's something I want to highlight or something in the background I want to hide. I tried a cartoon one but it looks a bit odd so I've not used it again.

I take photos on my ancient cheap Samsung so I'd guess decent filters that airbrush or make me look more like a human and less like a potato wouldn't be available on the phone and I'd have to go to the effort of altering them on the computer. Frankly I'm far too lazy for that.

I'm on here to meet people rather than for an ego boost, so I've tried to make my photos representative. I'm not everyone's cup of tea so having realistic photos cuts out some contact from people who would never actually want to take things further, so I can focus time on the people who might.

Snap! It’s sooooo obvious as they look flat! Nah bit of cropping and black and white is fine or even change the lighting but more is just silly and false. I’ve seen Male and female profile that are like this and it’s really obvious. Also bloody hate those snapchat filters that put stupid puppy ears or some crap in them

When I did post pictures as my former fab self, I’d sometimes use black and white or sepia, I’d crop the edges to make the picture tidier and maybe adjust the light and shade. What I didn’t do, and personally can’t ruddy abide, is add daft glasses, flower garlands, bunny ears and cartoon like eyes.

I was never clever enough, nor vain enough to airbrush my lumps and bumps away, in my opinion to do so would be tantamount to lying anyway.

Phone cameras are turning pictures into an over saturated candy land.

Everyones phone screen or monitor (if use fab on a computer.... Wow old school) is different so no two images look the same anyway.

I have a few black and whites and prefer getting b&ws back.

You know what you are seeing then.

Nice to see most of fab has stayed away from the snap filters.

It puts me right off.

If you dont want to show your face don't show it.

Anyone that has Snapchat filters or similar is a pass from us. Happy for people to add effects to photos that enhance them in some way to make them more visually pleasing, but if you're looking like a fairy or a dog in your photo then you'd better be turning up to meets like that or it's misrepresentation.

I really enjoy playing around with photos and enhancing them. We have many photos that are very different from the original but it’s done to be artistic and create a fun photo, never to deceive.

We have plenty of photos of us showing who we really are.

The Snapchat filters are weird though, seen some very strange pictures sent in the past with strange big eyes and weird effects.

I just use colour filters and crop photos and take pics from the best angles I can apart from that it's me . I don't see the point of photoshopping pics to make you look slimmer or face pics to make you look better or younger. If you are genuinely meeting people off here then its pointless they will know the minute they see you that you are nothing like the photos. You see a lot on here that are so photoshopped tho.

We don't ever filter

The most we do is crop them down to size and maybe change to black and white , but depending on our mood it's sometimes the colour pic that we put on

No cats whiskers or dogs noses for us

I'll use this post to hijack a question to women...

Do most women know men find snapchat filters and duck pouting unattractive?

Ive never heard a guy say hey look at my new gifriend and show me a picture with he wearing AR flower crown of bunny ears.

I get that theae photos might be for womens own enjoyment.

I just curious if they know it makes them look unattractive when sent to men?

Quite in keeping with the thread actually mate..."

I've only ever heard men say they don't like them, so I assumed this.

However a bloke once had loads of weird dog ears and stuff on tinder and I just thought he looked like a total arse.

"I'll use this post to hijack a question to women...
