Why look at the label? I understand to an extent as my son and daughter wear shoes that cost £500 a pair , and they have a few pairs each. But saying that my daughter will pair them up with top shop jeans and a nice T,, good shoes will always do well. |

I think that when you reach a certain age you know what you like, what feels good and what suits you. I dont care what others think. I'm no fashion victim, I dont wear clothes just because others are wearing them.

Had to Google what they are. Turns out they're plimsolls (daps) and Basketball boots in old language. And, yes, I wear them (the Plimsolls type), they are great and I don't feel too old for them. I also have skinny jeans. |

I wear what ever I feel comfortable in, regardless of it it’s deemed to be to young for me.
I even wear short sleeved shirts rather than rolling up the sleeves....controversial, I know.
I do draw the line at skinny jeans though, not just as an age thing but more because I look a right dick in them. |

I'm fast approaching 50 and I wear odd converse... I don't consider other people's opinions when I dress, or anything else, as it's nobody elses business. If I like it, I wear/do it... Almost 50 or not |

I did in fact stop wearing Converse at about 50, these days I mainly wear proper shoes, usually from Hotter as they are comfortable from first wearing. I was never much of a hoodie wearer but I gave away the only one I had a few years ago. I did buy a flat cap shortly before my 59th birthday, although I'm still more likely to wear a baseball cap (always the right way round). |

Personally i dont care what people wear, the original quote was someone describing the new front grill the new audi A4 ,Llike someone over 50 wearing converse, and just made me wonder what other people think looks wrong on over 50's.,although saw a man in his 40's 50's wearing a white and black sicksilk track suit and did make me look twice. |

Not gonna lie last year went to Benidorm and wore converse ..ended up with a broken toe and lost my toe nail...the mixture of the rubber toe and alcohol and people keep standing on my foot was the blame...oops..I blame Benidorm |
