Watched the original and the drama of it thought his brief fought a strong case enough to put lot of doubt on whether was guilty

Just watched the tv drama and was lot of coughing overall going on and the audio tape produced as evidence had been edited maybe he was just proved beyond a reasonable doubt?

The TV drama did say at the start that events were changed for entertainment purposes, so don't take it as gospel. The 4 pagers were a give away. Who has, or had 4?

The jury thought they were guilty, that's all that matters.

That said, the light sentence passed makes me wonder if the defence put doubt in the mind of the judge.

Or, maybe; white, middle class people very rarely end up in prison?

They were guilty but it highlighted a lot of flaws with the programme makers and the fat cats running it at ITV.

Worthing

Guilty but I read somewhere if they had stopped at 125k (think that was one of the amounts) they would have probably got away with it.

I saw the original program many moons ago and thought something dodgy was going down even then. I mean, who changes their mind that many times?

Guilty or not, I think the tape produced by the tv company shouldn't have been admissable in court. Afterall, they edited it, in there best interest.

Guilty - and I think they're wasting their time still trying to appeal the sentence.
