Was reading a previous post where the OP used the word 'pish' and I was surprised that many people hadn't heard this phrase. So its got me wondering if any of our non Scottish friends know any of our slang words? Or have you heard one that you need translated? |

Limmy is fantastic. Burnistoun is worth a watch. Top of the list has got to be Still Game. Filled with gid auld Scottish words. |

Good translations but let's no confuse everyone wi regional phrases. There are 5.5 million people in Scotland and aboot 5.1 million dinny say peh and inging lol |

Ex mother in law was Glaswegian an many an old mucker from my military days were Scots.
Get to travel up there with work every now and then, love the scenery up there. |

It can be tricky even for Scots lol. That is a tricky phrase as well. 'Wain/wean' can also be 'bairn' or 'wee loon' in some parts. |
