Since the lockdown and the forums become a joke.. I know there is no rules on what you can post on the forums etc.. but please come on!! Why would we care if you fuckin your GF or the recipe for the chicken curry!!

Lots of people including myself had a good time just chatting and having a banter on the forums... what the fuck happened

There is rules as to what you can post

This is The Lounge section. Much more chilled. You can post pretty much anything you like.

You don’t need to participate in any threads you don’t like the look of.

Nobody is forcing you to be here.

What happened? Global Pandemic.

Why do I need to care about your rant then using the same logic ? live and let live. Everyone needs something to get through it. My something is not necessary equal to yours.

There appear to be lots of new users in the forums posting any old random shite and a lot of the old regulars are taking a break from the forums or simply lurking until normal service resumes. Until then I don’t expect it to change a lot whilst people have way too much time to kill.

OP.

Apart from the usual everyday rules on what can or cannot be said within the varied Forum pages, these pages exist for people to interact or not, to react or not, or simply keep in touch with like minded people.

For some, it could well be their one way of keeping boredom at bay, or their only daily contact with others

The options are endless but to many they are a lifeline!

You don't have to involve yourself or interact; I or others aren't compelling you to do so.

Let people enjoy the Forums for what they get out of them, either in a lesser or greater degree.

But you could of just kept the thoughts on your head and not posted.

We all see shit that irritates us, imagine that! The forum would get clogged up with moaning cunts if we all started threads.

The forum is awash with variety, different people, different opinions. It's why the forums work.

But to call a forum m_mber out on her posts is horrible.

But you crack on with your 'bants'

We'll crack on doing what we do to keep us sane.

"OP.

Your opinion is much respected... and I’m not trying to change anything, I’m exposing my opinion that’s all, surly some people will agree or disagree!

But you can 'express' your opinion without the need to insult people.

Well I don’t think I insulted anyone, and if I did I do apologise.. however most of the comments her are missing the point! There are other places people can just put this kind of post in..

I might be wrong! But this is my personal thoughts about it, and everyone can get on with what they are happy to do, I’m not a m_mber here so I don’t have authority to stop anyone, and I am allowed to post what I think.. Am I right!

Why can you post what you think but others can’t post what they like?

There’s other places that you can chat and have banter. "

The difference is that I didn’t post on someone’s thread and said there is other places to have banter!

Central

There have always been periods of change in the forum, the tone shifts, variations in user types and needs, it's natural and you have lots of choice, including influencing things. But rarely via a lwhinge.

I'm not fucking my gf as I don't have one, but here's a chicken curry recipe OP..

Ingredients

6 spring onions

3 garlic cloves

2 tbsp vegetable oil

half a 400g tin chopped tomatoes

2 tbsp curry powder

1 tsp ground ginger

400g/14oz boneless skinless chicken thigh, cut into 2.5cm/1in pieces

100ml/3½fl oz Greek-style natural yoghurt, plus extra to serve

salt and pepper

To serve

200g/7oz long grain rice

Recipe tips

Method

Thinly slice the spring onions, reserving a handful of the sliced green parts for garnish. Peel and chop the garlic. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over a medium heat and cook the spring onions and garlic for a few minutes. Add the tomatoes, curry powder and ground ginger and cook for 3-4 minutes. If the pan gets dry add a splash of water and make sure the spices don't burn.

Add the chicken and cook for 5 minutes. Make sure all the chicken is coated and is beginning to brown on the sides.

Add 250ml/9fl oz water and bring to the boil. Reduce to a medium to low heat and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through with no sign of pink juices in the middle of the pieces.

While the chicken is cooking, prepare the rice. Pour the rice into a saucepan and rinse it under the cold tap to take away any cloudy starch. Drain the cloudy water away. Add clean water for cooking the rice. You need almost twice as much water as rice. (If you use a mug of rice, add a little less than two mugs of water). Bring to the boil then reduce the heat to a low simmer. Cover with a lid and cook very gently for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and leave to stand with the lid on for 10 minutes. This will finish cooking the rice. Keeping the lid on is important, so none of the steam escapes.

Take the curry off the heat, stir in the yoghurt then season with salt and pepper. Serve the curry with the rice and garnish with a drizzle of yoghurt.

"OP.

The difference is that I didn’t post on someone’s thread and said there is other places to have banter!

See the thing is, you start a thread, people reply. That's how it works...

You don't get to say who posts what on where! It does not work like that.

And I don’t think I said that, and again I just put my PERSONAL opinion, could be right, or wrong.... and in the end of the day everyone can post what they want

Well you did because I quoted it

I can’t tell anyone what to say or what not! Honestly I don’t mind anyone to comment, however if you read some of the comments are rude and gets personal..."

Yes. Yours.

He has started a thread. It might be a moany one but it’s still a thread.

This thread is full of folk telling him he’s been unpleasant to a forum m_mber.

And yet they are filling his thread up being unpleasant to him. Why not just report the post?
