Non-virus related question.
Last Sunday I was a dippy shit and got a big splinter through finger. A&E gave local anaesthetic, sliced and had a good mooch around in there....
Not sure if it is healing... can I direct message someone a super sexy photo?
Why don't we have that one the 111 NHS service? (Or do we) |

Why don't you think it's healing? |

Looked a little shiny underneath but don't think its seeping or anything...
No swelling, tracking, heat or pain.
I've chucked someone a photo who didn't raise any concerns....
Not usually one for injuring myself (esp wounds) so thought best check before re-covering......
Thank you Thank you |

If there's no swelling then the inflammation has past and the other signs indicate no infection. Is the wound a nice fresh pale pink? If so it is healing lovely. There are dressings to keep wounds moist and this can help speed up healing whereas a scab can slow it down. |

Haha, no.
If I'd got a large splinter through my knob then questions would definitely be asked....
When I was in A&E the doc was saying he dealt with a patient who was sat on a bench.... slide sideways along it to discover there were splinters coming up from the slats... yep... splinters in his butt! |
