I'm trying to get into my birthday bottle of wine (first drop of alcohol since before start of lockdown so desperately needed) and I can't for the life of me figure out how to open it?! It's not a type of closure I've ever seen before - there's no visible screw top or cork, just some sort of plastic that goes all the way around and over the top with no seal to rip open. I can't really explain it, Google Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Villages and it should be more clear. Any help greatly appreciated!!!

You’re going to need a corkscrew for that. Sharp knife around the top then you will find it has a cork under the seal.

You were right, thank you! I don't really drink wine at home, I usually only order it by the glass so that bit is always done for me haha. I feel more cultured already!

Thank you! I got it on a whim as it was the only small bottle of red I could find so it's a very pleasant surprise. This one was a Gamay but if the others are half as good I will definitely be treating myself!
