"I’ve had cramp in my foot and calf for the last 45 minutes.
Tried all the usuals and now want to chop the bastard off."
Look on the bright side, you’ll be a dead cert for the role of Long John Silver in panto season |

That would only work if the cramp was in her hand |

Ok that's quite serious
Have you d*unk fluids when and what have you eaten
I do find excessive sodium with excessive exercise and not enough water does fuck me over
I'd have to suggest drink fluids??

"Have you applied ice to the foot?
Apparently long term, magnesium helps"
I'd plump for potassium first but absolutely magnesium
I guess only from experience it's salt water imbalances
Beyond that
Ouch |

Yeah probably dehydrated in first place.
Just start drinking water regularly until your pee is clear the. Back of the drinking so much don't want to overdo it.
Do you have any dirralyte for upset tummy.
Take one of those.
Failing that put eat a banana.
Or drink some water with some salt and maybe some honey init.
Do you drink alot of caffeine? |

"I still have cramp. I think my leg is a lost cause
So...the leg isn’t hot is it? Swollen? Discoloured? "
Yeah I was just going to ask those questions too, if it is please go and get it checked out to make sure it’s not a DVT |

I upped my water intake a few days ago as I wasn’t drinking enough, also eased off on the caffeine too.
The cramp in my leg has eased but is still sore, but still have cramp in my foot. Never had anything like this before. |

Could be caffeine related? Hard cramps can hurt for a while after...proper muscle strain. Good it’s easing/moving, I’d have said... |

It could be any number of things but as someone said above, drinking electrolytes may be a good starting point. B12 deficiency is also more common than people realise, if your diet lacks (vegan/veggie for example) its likely too |

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest |
Some of the advice above re hydration, B12, magnesium etc is good. Sometimes you might need to sustain the calf and toe stretch for a longer period...up to a minute but with mild to moderate intensity. That usually helps |
