A local baker advertised take away bread, cakes etc.
I ordered two doughnuts and two custard slices,
It was the first time in years I’ve had a custard slice and they were wonderfully tasty, anyone else like them? |

The difficulty with the custard slice is biting into it without losing half the custard. I always use my tongue and slowly slide it along between the layers going a little deeper every time to get the custard goodness from between the layers before biting the pastry outer. The Mr Xx |

I bloody love them. I used to work in a bread shop that also made cakes, one of which was a custard slice .... divine. |
