"Are there any laws and/or social rules that baffle you?
Which one/s?
Why?
Why can't I buy paint to paint my kitchen? "
I bought some while doing my weekly food shop and wasn’t questioned at all |

No Queenie, it's one of the rules! I can buy stuff to fix my damaged fence, apparently, but I don't have a damaged fence |

She’s right it’s one of those things you can get fined for if caught.... daft really when you can buy paint for a fence but not indoors |

Makes no sense, but if you are buying it with your essential items I can't see a problem. Saw a woman in wilkos last week, cashier said she couldn't buy it! |

It is daft. If you’re not allowed to buy it, it shouldn’t be on the shelves |

They’ve changed them now but used to be 16 for smoking; plus 16 for active frontline service in the forces and never voted for those that control where you go |

Exactly my thoughts. I understand you can't make a non essential journey for it, which I wouldn't be. I think some shops are mis interpreting the rules. I would also like to go to a garden centre, but they're not open either...non essential, although we are buying stuff to grow our own veg and salad
