Not having access to weights is kind of annoying now. I need a leg press, squat rack and a cable pull.
Cardio is good but I need fat loss and I need heavy weights for that.
What’s everyone’s best at home no equipment ab exercises, I want obliques and that ‘V’ shape! |

V sit ups
Russian Twists with anything heavy-ish
Leg leg, right leg leg raises
V tuck ups
Planks left right middle
Spiderman knee to elbow
Supermans
Leg figue of 8s
Standing windmills with a heavy weight
30 seconds of every move or start with a few and add as you go - increase number of rounds over time |

Diet diet low carb diet
Then hanging knee raises ensuring curving of spine and pelvic tilt
Full leg raises will lead to iso metric abs and enlarged hip flexors
Unilateral upper body work especially using bands
And press ups |

I've got visible obliques and only really work my abs indirectly. And I carry more weight on my torso than limbs.
I'm inclined to think based on my experience that direct ab work is overrated in the grand scheme. |

I hardly need to do direct ab work especially if doing unilaterals |

Same as for men
The v taper comes from training delts and lats for hypertrophy
And eating lower carb calorific deficit
Training your midsection will not reduce its dimensions
As suggested higher weights are good for fat loss
Full body exercises are excellent fat burners
Lift slabs(heavy weight that you can) floor to above head and walk a few steps

Obviously the reality of body fat percentage differences for men and women makes visible abdominal definition more difficult for women to create or sustain. I have very strong abs, but they're hidden under the layer of fat presumably there to protect my uterus. |

Was doing farmers walks with my weighted vest and 28kg of played in my rucksack and was carrying it but my bag was nearly breaking.
Haven’t got a barbell so can’t do any deadlifts, can’t do any heavy stuff got legs.
It’s my back and legs I wanna train the most. Diet is good but it’s fat loss I want the most. |

I’m finding it hard to do stuff at home though. I know I won’t watch the tv and follow someone’s instruction when I’m at home. I do an online yoga session in the evenings with my mat but that’s more to chill and relax.
How would people substitute a leg press, sticking my kid on my legs for her to do superman with her arms out but she weighs next to fuck all. Been laying on my back lifting my bed using the heels of my feet but I’m gonna weaken the frame if I carry on. |

I've bought my resistance bands specifically to keep training my back and legs. You can stack the ones I've bought for a combined resistance of up to 70kg. The set comes with handles, ankle straps and a door anchor so I can use them for all sorts. Basically anything you'd use a cable machine for you can do with the anchor and they've also got videos for how to use them for a variation on loads of other things. |

I'm just doing bodyweight squats. I'm missing the leg press too but unfortunately they'd not look favourably upon me breaking into the gym. Yes I've contemplated it.
I think it's very much "something is better than nothing" at the moment, for everyone. |

I dont know many who can do strict single leg bodyweight presses
Ignore the balance aspect and use something to steady or for progressive difficulty use a trx strap or belt
Your thighs will hate me as will your glutes
Most do not do these bw vairents because they are too difficult |

If you have a tile or wooden floor you can lay flat on your back, knees together and slightly bent and use your heels to pull and push your body in situ. You could also hold heavy items over your torso to increase weight too. Great hamstring exercise.
I have weak legs due to chronic conditions but this is an exercise that keeps me functioning. |

Glutes bridges planking and sit ups as many as you can till you fail |

I’ve been doing Yoga since the new year. I stared with Yoga with Adriane on YouTube. She does a 30 day course called Home. It’s free.
I’ve also got a good stomach App called Easy Abs.
Keeps me busy. |

I (glossy) would agree with super low carb diet (less than 25g a day) intermittent fasting, calorie deficit and if looking for fat loss walking 5-10km daily and adding weight to this with a backpack xx also during lockdown bodyweight work if no access to weights x |

You won’t need any weights for this but it will keep your fitness, strength and endurance going.
Abs- sit ups, leg raises, crunches and twists.
Obliques- ankle taps. Put them in with abs.
Legs- squats, lunges/split lunges
Back/bicep- wide grip pull ups, narrow grip pull ups
Chest/tricep- press ups, dips
And to keep the body shredded and fit have a run like 3-4 days a week, various types- 5 miles steady, 3 miles hard run, hill sprints ect
If you have a heavy punch bag just do a few rounds handy and maybe few rounds skipping

sit the kids on the other side of the dinner table.
go to the opposite side and lay under it with your hands gripping the table edge.
deep breath. and with your legs raise them till they are touching the underside of the table youre kids are sitting on.
and no point should any of your body touch the floor even on the way down. |

You dont need heavy weights for fat loss and it is good that the cardio is doing well, all you need to do is to be in a calorie deficit for a long time and over time your abs will show. I suggest to be a in a 300 calorie deficit to begin with it and increase cardio as the time goes and you need to track the calories, what app do you use? I use mynetdiary.
You can still train legs at home by putting water bottles in a rucksack as well as doing lungs with it, for abs I recommend crunches and as well leg raises to hit the lower abs, all you need to remember is to trust the process and you will get there and achieve your goals |

Burpees, bear crawls, planking, and two press-up variations;
1. Stand with feet together, bend over to touch the floor with your hands, walk your hands forward to get in to press-up position, do one press-up, then walk hands back to standing position again. Do 10 reps and see how you feel.
2. Get in a press-up position with your left hand on a kettlebell or dumbell, do a press-up, then walk your hands sideways so your right hand is now on the kettle/dumbell, do another press-up then swap again. Try 12 reps, so 6 each side, and see how your midriff is feeling |

I’ve been doing home Full bodyweight HIIT workouts from YT with a pair of 9kg dumbbells and I’m exhausted after them.

Yw and that is a good deficit too and it is good that it is averaging out as well as it is the weekly calories that are the most important and same here I am also impatatient, my summer shredding is going well too do you workout at home too? |
