West Midlands and West London

I'd honestly recommend Hiit videos on YouTube. No equipment required, makes you super sweaty and put off breath and challenging even for a relatively fit/ sporty person.

You can message me for a recommendation x

Sensible answer - I have a bike, a skipping rope and weights. In the gym I tend to mostly weight lift and use rowing machine or bike. What machines do you use and enjoy at the gym OP? As that will help.

Maybe don’t waste money on a huge bit of equipment then. Me and my daughter also use YouTube to do dance workouts in the morning. Great fun and gets very sweaty.

I wish I had a squat rack at home and a leg press.

I been watching late night shopping adverts and almost bought a squat magic, google it. Fuck it I’m gonna buy it when I get paid.

You will struggle to get anything decent because a lot of people have done the same thing. Honestly I'd look for what is available rather than what you want

The cheapest. Most people use them for a week or two at most before they are ignored and then eventually demoted to the garage.

Just around the corner

A decent second hand rowing machine, or start following Joe Wicks’ morning routine.

An exercise mat and look for bodyweight routines. Squats, pushups, planks, that sort of thing.

Or definitely dancing if you can.

Save your money

There’s a whole world outside your door to exercise with.

Go for a run/jogg/walk.

Do circuit training at home (press-ups sit-ups stepups on a low wall or anything really)

Expensive machines and apparatus are a complete waste of money.

I've been using my kettlebell to do about 30 mins of exercise every day. I can see the difference but need a heavier one now. Also a long walk up the hills everyday x

Go on YouTube and search for Halo leisure and they’ve put full classes on there from yoga to circuits, legs bums and tums and many more. Can do them in your living room.

There's heaps of lockdown workouts out there. The Americans got onto this quite quickly, before we locked down here. I got emails from Nerd Fitness and Girls Gone Strong.

There was one popping up on wish a lot.

Looked like a sit down step machine.

Took me a while to notice the arm levers powered a dildo in the seat.

The 30 day squat challenge is a lot of fun! And you can actually feel it and after a bit the results are noticeable.

*I'm mainly posting so I can keep track of the thread and look up the recommendations.

I think the lack of a central thread like Shag's is making this a bit more challenging. Particularly if you don't dig 150 pushups a day or fucking planking.

Yes it is, there's not really a middle ground option. I still want to keep fit and active (well get back into it) but I'm not going to pretend I'm at that stage or try and keep up with that. Manageable fitness goals are far better for me and we're all working towards our own.

gym equipment is very expensive and over priced at the moment.

best thing is to get some resistance bands and use them. different strength ones can be found on ebay.

look for ones with reviews as some aren't as good as others.

Definitely. I consider myself pretty fit and the goals on those threads are not in my sights.

My goals are along the lines of "do something most days, hopefully do more this week than last week". Some of them aren't necessarily modest goals, but it's a moveable target.

I could point you to a ton of bodyweight exercises that would work you harder, in less time and without spending any money, unless you want another clothes horse in your house?
