Quite a few threads about body hair on men, pubic hair on both men and women and I was wondering- does body hair on women bother you? (Not on yourself, on others)
I don't mean pubic hair, I mean hair on the underarms and legs etc. I just think it's interesting that the common standard is that people expect women to remove body hair while men can leave it be.

I know it's natural but probably more than 90% of women shave their arms and legs and have done since god knows when. I grew up around women who shaved their legs and armpits so for me, shaved is natural.
I would be pretty grossed out of I took.a lady back to mine after a night out and she was as hairy as me.....I'd probably send her on her way! |

It doesn't bother me to look at, there's worse things for a person to be than hairy, but I present myself as smooth and my preference for others is largely the same as I like the feeling.

I'm gonna be honest and I know coming from someone as hairy as me this seems realt wrong bit i like a woman to be smooth of body i like a nice little bush but armpits nope that's not nice for me. If I'm in a relationship and my said lady hasn't shaved her legs for a few days that doesnt bother me but I find smooth legs and armpits very feminine and thats how I like it.
Plus I think I have enough hair for the both of us lol |

Op, we think your pubic hair is lovely, very well maintained.
As for other body hair, it is entirely up to the woman what she prefers in our opinion.
We expect mens body haor is more easily acceptes as it comes across as masculine.

I prefer hair to no hair. Especially down there.
But underarm hair is often a bit sexy on the right girl, especially if they look chic and interesting.
In relationships women have said, 'we can't I havent shaved my legs'...doesn't bother me! |

I love my men on the less hairy side, I love the feel of running my hands over a hairless chest.
Oh and Lola, you are one sexy lady |

A quick Googling of the history, hair removal for women has only been happening in the last 100ish years.
The rise of femininity and showing more skin led to razor companies telling women to shave their legs/armpits.
So there you go, blame the feminists |

I can honestly say I don't think it would bother me in the slightest - it may give me a brief moment of surprise because it was "different" but ultimately it wouldn't be a turn off if that is how a partner felt comfortable in themselves - it really is a case of being attracted to the person and not their body hair for me. |

I think hair just comes in the way of feeling the skin.
Pubic hair ok to certain extend
Arm hair ok
Hair on legs - Please dont.
Hair around nipples - Are you kidding? |

Did someone say feminist?!
Pretty sure cultures way back were removing hair...just googled so I don’t look a twat and yep! Roman poet Ovid urges women to groom so “that no rude goat find his way beneath your arms and that your legs be not rough with bristling hair.” Totally agree it’s the norm and usually the preference, and with pubic hair it makes things a lot more visual...but still think it’s something to do with prioritising youth that makes me a bit uncomfortable. Not saying I haven’t shaved, but prefer not to. |

In general I prefer smooth for the way it feels, especislly pubic hair as I'm a big oral fan. But have seen some very attractive completely natural women, it wouldn't put me off and can be very sexy. |

A long-term naked friends has occasional underarm/leg hair. Not because we've known each other for so long that she's comfortable with it around me but because that's how she feels that day/week/whenever.
And she looks incredible either way. |
