I don't blame you Op. It's a very complex intervention but the neurosurgeons who do it are among the very best healthcare has to offer.
Hope all goes well. Hopefully it'll lead to an immediate reduction in your symptoms |

Cervical is the neck area of the spine, discectomy is removal of discs there.
I'm due a discectomy on my lumbar region when my bloods are sorted.
Guessing you have spinal stenosis or bulging discs? |

I've had spinal surgery op and have never looked back. My surgeon was excellent as will yours be, during recovery in hospital pain relief was available to me when I needed it and the care I received was second to none. Physios visited me the next day and have me very gentle, tiny movements to do and I was checked on hourly during the night (much to my annoyance at the time ).
You're in the best possible hands but I understand how worried you are. My very best wishes to you |

Very major stuff, OP. I should have had lumbar discectomy etc but my situation was too high risk and they refused my surgery. I just live with the ongoing lumbar disc issues.
Neurosurgeons are highly skilled like Chill says, and they do lots of these procedures. Best wishes to you, OP xxxx |

Good luck op
Ive had a few back surgeries im fused L4/5 with metal work. Take it easy and dont overdo anything, listen to your body it will let you know wnen your ready to do more. Try to take it easy on painkillers, they can be very addictive. |
