My ears are starting to bleed hearing about the Jubilee and the Olympics. As someone who is a republican at heart and cannot stand track and field events, this is a year of hell.

I am off to live in a media void cave, can someone come and get me when its over

The BBC have twice as many personel attending as there are GB athletes. Nice to know they are spending the licence money so wisely!

I'll keep up a mild interest in the Olympics, but when the euros start then I'll be rivetted.

As for the Jubilee, how can you not like an extra two days off work in June?
