Who has moved holidays so far?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Always book late anyway so nothing booked, but I think that I will end up cancelling the week I have booked for the end of May.
Hoping to make the trip booked for mid June, but it's not looking good. |

Was meant to be in Abu Dhabi and then Ibiza.
Have got two weeks in July planned but going to cancel when we get nearer and if the situation hasn’t changed.
They are still flying four flights a week to my sunshine bolt hole so it’s still possible. |

Haven’t cancelled it yet, but might have to move to lil ones holiday to later in the year- she’s due to go to Florida with my parents and my brother in June. She’s crazy about Star Wars so going to Disney. She knows it might be postponed, hopefully will be ok, but not holding out much hope x Viv x |

"Yeah, 2 so far. Went to New York mid March just before the world went crazy. Had a lucky escape by the sounds of it. "
Still looking to get refunds for the 2 we've missed out on. Insurance are saying they won't if we get offered a voucher from the companies. Just not sure we want to travel, or how soon we can travel. Think we'd prefer a refund tbh. |

Cancelled two hotel stay trips but fortunately not lost any money. One has been rearranged for next year. Got one more trip due in May but not expecting it to go ahead.
Hey ho, does mean I am getting on with some DIY jobs that I had been putting off for to long.

"I should be in Thailand now but re-booked it for 28th November "
Not sure when I would trust re booking the holiday with the amount of people they left stranded its shocking and I would be surprised if anyone trusted holiday operators again prefer a refund a find somewhere I can drive too lol x |

Was supposed to go to Morocco in a few weeks but all easyjet flights cancelled. Booked again for January and got them for half the price so not too bothered! Getting a refund out of easyjet for the cancelled flights is proving difficult though |

We had spent 6 of the previous 12 weeks before lockdown away. Glad we had opportunity while we did and we were lucky that we got home right at the end of feb so didn’t have any issues getting home etc
Got an itchy finger to book some more trips for this summer but like everyone just having to hang fire right now. Saying that seen some good flight prices for Xmas so may book that while the deal is there |

Hi is there a reason you do that, does it work out more cheaper for you or just more flexible? |

Have just always done it. We don’t book package holidays as we like to travel in business class. We book the flight with the airline that has the best service/deal and then choose the hotels we want to stay at. |

BA removed the option to take a flight refund off their website. It would only allow you a voucher. And then told people not to call unless you were flying within 72 hours. So I had to call and spend about 2 hours on the phone to get the refund i was legally entitled to. I thought that was a little bit of foul play. I understand the refunds are bleeding out their cash flow and people are being encouraged to take a voucher to help the airlines. But I’m sorry, these are the same airlines that don’t give a shit if you want to cancel a previously booked flight usually and refuse to refund. Yet all of a sudden I’m meant to be trying to help THEIR cash reserves ?!? £7500 back in my account rather than theirs. |

Hmmm out of all holidays, cruises would worry me the most. They seem a bit of a virus incubation centre on water |

Had 3 booked and paid for as well as 4 concerts/gigs. All been cancelled
But this is not forever probably a year out of our life’s and when we get the chance to holiday and enjoy life again I’m sure many of us will appreciate it more. |

Fortunately nothing booked, I was hoping to get to Moscow in June. Now thinking September is more realistic. Will be relatively last minute, but a visa will be problematic I'd imagine. |

Yeah bit of a pain the Russian visas as u have to physically go to an office and submit biometric etc. Think u would need 4 weeks minimum to allow yourself to obtain the visa. Interesting city though, worth the effort |

Oh thanks for the feedback. I'll give the Russians my fingerprints and DNA in August then
Did you also go to St Petersburg by any chance? |

No was a flying visit for a meeting and a quick look at the Kremlin and few other places. Lenin’s tomb was a highlight. |

Supposed to be going away in August of to Corfu again I don't know if we're going as yet but they are still taking the money and were insured so either way will get a holiday at some point! |

Good to see so many have rescheduled their holiday! So much stuff over the media saying people are cancelling and will cause places to go bust! I'm due to go away mid July but my travel company are doing it on a 2 week basis so will be a while before I can reschedule!
My brother is also due to get married abroad in September, no idea what will happen with that as it's cost them a lot of money! |
