My upstairs neighbour has a deep bellowy voice and is quite a big bloke.

He literally doesn't stop fucking talking and moving around - I hate him

He only moved in last week and probably can't get carpets put in etc ...

But its driving me maaaaaaaad

Am I being over sensitive?

No .. I think times like these you really find out if you get on with your neighbours

No you’re not. Maybe tell him that the place is a bit flimsy and his voice and thumping around really carries.

No .... because I really dislike my neighbours too. They haven’t actually done much to annoy me, except from rather loud karaoke, but I was so happy when they went away for a night.

I should’ve reported them actually

Yeah I'd rather not have any neighbours!

Especially elephants that don't stop fucking talking!

I never thought I'd say it but I'm so happy I'm going to work today

When you're around it all the time, absolutely understandable! I hope he finds his indoor voice soon OP, for your sake!

I'm scared

And I don't want to upset him.

It literally sounds like he's pacing around all day bellowing.

From early in the morning till late at night!

Give him a welcoming present, some gobstoppers or really chewy biscuits.

A little note saying “ welcome to the neighbourhood, please sit still and eat these in the peaceful environment we were all used to before you arrived. “

That would absolutely annoy me to hell and back. I’d work out what time he usually goes to bed or wakes up then, play loud music or pretend to talk really loudly to someone

Luckily for us and our neighbours we live in a detached house but a woman who lives in the next street has a voice that really grates and kind of vibrates your ears. Even when she's just talking you can hear every word she says. I have one nerve left and she's getting on it

We've only just moved into a new build ... all of the neighbours are still getting to know each other ... there's mostly solidarity in bitching about the mistakes and snags the developers have to sort

Check the Citizens Advice website, there's a section "Complaining about your neighbour" which you may find useful.

You have my sympathy, I decided to move last year because of a similar problem
