How many people go to their county show?
Ive not been in 6 years but from what i can remember was it was all sheep, cows, pigs, tractors and lots of local produce.
Cost of entering the event is £18 for an adult
Maybe i'm just tight but think that's a bit steep |

When i lived in Wiltshire that County Show was more 'fun' not quite sure if its because i was younger and interested in all the stalls, the fairground. Just went with a bunch of school friends and had a right blast |

You could always see if there is something for the kids to enter, like dancing or fancy dress or a parade then if your daughter does it you might get in for free |

We used to go to all the shows .. newbury ..one at guilford and new forest . mostly knee deep in mud.. not so bothered nowadays .. but loved all the animals. 18 pounds is ridiculous how are young people and families supposed to afford that.. Nope wouldnt consider that at all. |

haha reminds me of the Village show, my grandma made me a gorgeous little dress and decorated it entirely with various bunting and those floral necklace things.. classic memories
even loved my white frilly ankle socks and sandles |

Used to do the Angus Show & the Perth show every year...but them am a bit of a country bumpkin.....loved the tractors, cows sheep, horses etc etc and catching up with all of my neighbours in the farming community. in 10 years I only missed 1 show
Up here on MY island it is all a bit different....the different areas have their own shows and they are a far cry from the big get togethers down on the mainland
Still have the Highland Show to 'do' |

Devon county show is shite and way over priced. Go to the Royal Cornwall instead, great day out |

Our county show is put on in the week. They would get far more people going if it was over a weekend. Sadly though only the retired and farmers go. Again we will miss the event due to this. |

We go to the same one every 3-4 years...anything more than that and its just the same ol same ol...and why do some of the checked shirt brigade insist on wearing hiking boots and using walking poles??? Are they really essential when walking around the overpriced cheese and Jam sections? |

Always used to go to our local one when the kids were young but been so long since we did I'm not even sure if we still have one here anymore, also used to have a balloon festival but I think that's finished happening now too just have small country fairs now they can be good to go to a more genteel day out but take a picnic as the food prices are crazy |

Don't know about people staying away from the Devon show.....having spent all day in the food tent it seemed as busy as I have seen it for a few years.
Just got home and happy to have had a mammoth day business wise.... |
