Did you know?
You already have SUPERHERO STATUS
and you didn't even have to come up with any fancy (oft duplicated) back story to get it.
(After all how many scientists can get fucked over during their own inventions?)
You now have two different identities, the real you and the fab you.
so claim fully your superhero status, use it with all you interact with... it should score you points with them.
If you do use this status and you need to show a peek of your real identity (for authenticity) make sure that element is psychologically secure.
