Another week of government authorised exercise!!!! I managed to get a 5km done in 30.33 - fitness is slowly coming back. Nice to get out in the fresh air and sun.

Must say there are more people walking outside but I can understand why.

Another 5km today but split it in to a 3km and 1.2km and walked last 0.8

I normally wouldn’t do 2 5km one day after another but it was good to clear my head before work

I'm thinking of aiming for a daily run to blow off the cobwebs each day

"Today is run day "

Legs felt knackered today after the weekend runs. So a cycle to work and back.

We did a 5 mile run this evening after work, after a busy day and feeling rather low (her), the run did me the world of good.

We ran at an easy effort pace, and today was also the first day of my marathon training plan.... fingers crossed for a good spell of health, fitness and hopefully no stricter lockdown rules. X

Interval session tonight. I usually do my intervals on a treadmill but after a few weeks of steady miles wanted to open my lungs up. Hard session but I really miss the fun of a more structured session!

Finally back under 30 mins for a 5km

29.43 this morning. After being ill for a few weeks it was nice to get a time that felt good. It was still slower than I wanted to do but with some hill walking that I have been doing on my non running days I feel like my fitness has really improved

Congrats OP. That’s grand. I did a 5k today, a lot slower than you but just good to be running!

For me I have been ill for a few weeks so it was nice to get back out. My quickest is mid 28s. So not on pace yet but good to get back sub30.

It is not about speed for me it’s me against myself. So even last week I was struggling with 34 mins

I had a nice 12 miler on Wednesday running home from work almost all on trails and very little human contact. Other than that it's been quite an easy week as too knackered from work to do much

Been getting my exercise in with 3.5 miles to and from work.

I've been running to the fridge for another beer... don't understand why my time gets slower as the night goes on...

Another long run today. Certainly feeling healthier and fitter.

Great stuff . I used to run so much in younger days , at a good level as well , just getting back into it , really enjoying it . I go into a semi trance with rhythm of my steps and my breathing , kinda loose any sense of time . It’s great for the soul .. keep it up people x
