Dead simple.
Place mango on board so it is on its edge.
Cut it vertically twice, either side of the stone, into 3 segments.
You now have 2 bowl shaped parts and an oval containing the stone.
For the bowl parts, hold in hand and score through mango to just about at its skin (and definitely before your own skin!) Do a series of parallel cuts, then turn mango 90 degrees and cut again. This should leave you with the appearance of a lot of squares.
Turn the skin inside out and it forms almost a hedgehog of mango cubes, eat like this or cut off with knife.
For the stone section, place on board and run knife around just inside skin, lift off circle of skin, and then either eat as it is or just cut mango flesh away in slices until you reach stone |
