I had some cereal bars today that were best before 2014,perfectly fine. I've used pasta last year that was best before 2007, perfectly fine.

I'm sure I've got lots of past their best before in my pantry and I will continue to use them.

"Use by" is a different story, depending on the product and when it was opened as to how long I'll use it for.

I ate some aioli

last week that was two weeks out of date...oops...it tasted ok tho and I'm still in the land of the living so all good

The garlic also helped with the social distancing so winner!
