An amazing coincidence. I google map searched Point Clear just one hour ago. I was looking at the Mersea ferry timetable and it lands there as well as Brightlingsea. I know the area but wasn’t sure on exact location.

Also, I went to the naturist beach at St Osyth beach last year - is it the same one?
