"I've done this once or twice in the past. It's easier than pushing bits of Cheerios down the plug hole in the sink "
Aye exactly. And you don’t want a soggy bin bag |

Correct. Nobody likes to have to clean the drips up after you have taken a leaky binbag out |

"My kid put cereal in my cup of tea the other day, she thought it might he a good mix "
Omg I’m part of a first time mum Facebook group and this mum had a ‘knock out’ bottle for her one and a half year old. They would have it before bed...
So in a baby bottle there would be tea, cereal, calpol and milk. |

Dont understand the tea and calpol part, unless they were teething or poorly then the calpol would be ok.

You shouldn’t put calpol in a bottle either |

Calpol at the right dose mixed in with milk won't do any harm. The old ways are often the best. |

Why would anyone medicate a child that wasn’t ill just to get them to sleep....sounds wrong on every level to me. |

Exactly my point.
The mum for removed from the group and I’m pretty sure the admin phoned social services as they were concerned. No idea what else happened. Dosing up your child just so they sleep shouldn’t put calpol in a bottle anyway...what if it takes them a while to drink it? Or they don’t drink it all? You wouldn’t know how much they’ve had... |

"Down the toliet? no just pour the milk down the sink and the cereal in the bin
But then you’ll have a soggy bin"
Yeah true but it’s in the bin bag and I drain most of the milk. Couldn’t the cereal clog up the toliet? Idk |

Friend of mine says he was taken on a plane for the first time at 18 months old, downed his Mum's gin and tonic thinking it was lemonade, slept the whole flight, this may make travelling with kids easier but he's now pushing 40 and a borderline alcoholic. |

I used to make a special hot chocolate for my kids on Xmas eve. It had 1/2 tsp of rum in. They used to be asleep well before Santa left any presents.
Formula milk is one of the best things to get a baby to sleep.
A small amount of baby rice from 1 yr to 18 months, depending how greedy they are.
Teething gel and toys that you can put in the fridge are brilliant for teething.

Oh my god yeah. Everything goes down my downstairs toilet, cereal, gravy that’s gone cold in the pan, anything gloopy goes down there before I wash the dishes. |
