2002 is a year I would not want to go through again. Divorced, homeless and jobless....

Yep I bet they would I didnt want city to get it but hey it was an exciting day, Now Man city , Chelsea and even Liverpool have titles and they dont, and if Chelsea win one more game (champions league) thier season will look even worse.

2011 and so far 2012 have had lots of life changing things thrown at us this year!

But we just smile and get on with it!

2007 for me - I had a nasty break up with my first boyfriend - we'd been together 9 increasingly miserable years. He then stalked me for 6 months, made my life hell and harrassed several family members as well.

Then I met someone else and after several months together, he turned out to be married - yes folks, I have great taste in men! Like to think I've learnt quite a few lessons tho

Joking aside, last year was pretty rotten. A nasty break-up with the ex, and kids were involved. No likey. No likey at all

same here, but with 2010.

split up with my wife, but met Em, so the bad turned to good.

but then 2009 was pretty shit too.

recession, job loss due to it, depression, the list goes on.

2002 was mine. I had just had it up to here with everything and it was starting to make me very ill. So I flicked my tail and turned it all upside down.

Much better now thanks.

2005!

Left previous job at the end of 2004 in a hurry as I did not want to see my ex-hubby suffer any longer by having me share the same house and office with him. This resulted in no job for the first 3.5 months of the year as I did not have the time to arrange anything.

Divorce came through in Feb.

Got a temporary job in mid March, and I was grateful to have a job.

Made permanent in June and I was very grateful.

Had triple vaccine as required by the job at the end of June.

Started to have blisters on my skin and thought it was an allergic reaction to the vaccine, turned out I had shingles.

Worked in pain for a week, and during that time, 7/7 happened, and the bus bomb went off 200m up the road from the block of flat where I lived.

My dad died on 08 July and I could not go to help my mum, as I could not travel due to the shingles.

On 05 Jul, after the nation was informed about UK hosting the Olympics in 2012, I raised my concerns about potential increase in danger due to terrorism in another board, I was flamed down for being a sour puss, unpatriotic etc...

2 days later was 7/7!

My car was parked 20m from Russell Square tube station and became part of the crime scene.

Attended my dad's funeral as soon as I was well enough to travel.

Decided to quit the job in Sep as I was informed I had to approve a project of which I had no input, and decided against it as it was badly designed and executed.

I continued to work as self-employed, not knowing when and where the next job might be, however, I was lucky and managed to find sufficient contract work to tick me over until I got a permanent job in March the following year.

All in all, not a good year.

Hence I am escaping the Scotland during the Olympics as it would bring back too many painful memories.

Last year was pretty horrific .... split with the ex after almost 5 years, left my private business, moved back to my school town and had to start again from scratch with everything
