If you attend with a open mind and treat it as a night out at a pub , bar with your mates I am sure you will have a great time and on your way home you will be wondering why was I so nervous.

I went to my first London social in November and it was an absolute blast - people were super friendly. I didn't do anything sensible like swapping face pics in advance, but managed to establish who the right group was with some fabulous coded greetings. :D

They are absolutely fine to attend alone, not sure about from a women’s point of view, but I attended my first social alone a few months back, had a great night, everyone was really friendly.

Randomly started chatting to a woman while having a cigarette when I got there, then met up with the fabbers and the women was part of the social group

These socials are great fun and alikat does a great job organising

I’d get practicing mate. It’s how we pair everyone up afterwards. If you can’t demonstrate a good cartridge belt rib stitch while discussing vegan options for Christmas cake you’ll be left with nowt.
