"Wandsworth; the only place in London I can luckily avoid. It's terrible to get to not to mention the uninspiring dynamic of the place. "
Thank christ you're avoiding. Apart from being absurdly and notoriously *easy* to get to what with district line & clapham junction, anyone who'd mischaracterise it as uninspiring is best avoided themselves |

A ceremonious block from you would put the icing on the cake. |

"So admittedly the number of interested people is low.
However, if those who contributed want to meet up shall we just do it and hope it grows?
No pun intended.lool"

Glad we are finally getting somewhere.
Not sure about the windmill though gets incredibly busy.
The spread eagle on Wandsworth high street is a large pub. It has a back room that we could commandeer lol. Plus it doesn’t get so crowded so as the windmill.

" Yes, Windmill does get busy. Only reservation about the Spread Eagle is not fantastic transport links?

5 minute walk from Wandsworth town station. Less than 10 minutes on the bus from Clapham junction or East Putney. |

Hi All,
I am impressed by the interest South of the river but no one appears to be taking the "bull by the horns".
If no one comes up with something sooner I am happy to start planning a regular meet starting in January 2020. |

I'm happy to help arrange but haven't been to a social before so would like someone who knows what works - can't message you as I'm outside your age range x |

"22nd of November. 8:00 pm, spread eagle Wandsworth high street.
I’m calling it.
I will be there. I might be alone, but at least I tried. "
Ok..I am in. However, socials ideally would not divulge the venue until invites sent out for our own protection?

"It's a great idea, but I would never attend a social where the venue had been mentioned in a public forum, anyone could be there looking on. "
I would love to be included.
Can the venue be changed and direct messages sent for privacy purposes?
Would like to help but no idea what is involved! |

Nobody seems to want to take up the gauntlet, so to speak.
What dates are people free? If I get enough interest I’ll post a date and then PM me for the venue.
How does that grab everyone? |

Who ever is arranging needs to just take the bull by the horn...so to speak!
Decide on a date and let people know and then go from there. There is obviously lots of interest, but no definite answers can be given if no definite date.
If it is a date I'm free I will def try and attend, but only of venue is not made public
Look forward to a definite date and hopefully meeting some friends and making new ones
