The Garden of England - Kent |
We will be holding another South East & Essex Social on Saturday 4th February. We had over 100 People at the Last One and want to make this one even bigger & better.
The theme this time will be Vicars and Tarts. So we want to see loads of Vicars & Nuns and Fab Tarts
It will be held at The Paradise Spa in Dagenham and as usual with thanks to the Owners we have got special rates for the evening:
Couples - £20
Single Guys - £30
Single Fems - Free (£10 Locker Key Deposit Payable)
A £10 Locker Key Deposit will also be charged but you will receive this back at the end of the evening when you return your key.
There is a bar where you can buy Soft Drinks only but you are more than welcome to bring any Alcoholic Drinks you wish.
If you would like to put your names down or require any further Information contact either myself or Mr Clarice.
PLEASE NOTE - There will be limited places for Single Guys so you will need to receive a message from either Myself or Mr Clarice to be guarenteed a place |

M25 What a disaster!
We were really looking forward to coming last night. There was a bit of snowfall but we thought that once we were on the motorway we'd be ok.
Well we got about half an hour round the M25, 2 miles from J25 and everything stopped. From about 9.30 ish until 1.30 am we were still 2 miles from J25!
Finally we managed to get past all the broken down and stranded vehicles and decided to check in to the Cheshunt Travelodge. Of course there were no rooms. The place was full of people who had abandoned their vehicles and turned up there.
So we basically snoozed on and off in the van in the car park of the Travelodge, (certainly not able to sleep!) Luckily we had a duvet with us for emergencies.
At 4.30 am, we decided to go for it and set off for home. M25 was still no go anti-clockwise so we went towards Hoddesdon. We got home just before six after going through Hoddesdon and Welwyn/Hatfield.
We went straight to bed and just got up about half an hour ago, still tired.
I wonder how many others made it there. What a shame that on that one night it had to snow like this. Thats Sod's Law for you. |
